A woman indicted with harassing Kate McCann allegedly recorded her a phone message which posed: "suppose I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who a jury heard has persistently claimed she was the disappeared Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are on trial indicted with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February this year.

On Monday, the tribunal learned communication data and information retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test over that period.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most covered missing child cases and is still open.

One phone message, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm fat and plain like Madeleine had been, but I feel what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," the message continued.

The tribunal was told that via electronic messages, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a effort to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with the police force who compiled the data, informed the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted close associates of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

The court learned Mrs Spragg struck up a connection online with Ms Wandelt before joining her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in the county in December 2024.
