Contest Overview

Greetings for the women's rugby league championship! This tournament has expanded significantly and advanced annually, from just four teams back in 2018 to a substantially expanded 12 teams. Remarkably, the championship match includes the Roosters and Broncos in the grand final, just as we did back in 2018.

The two sides have been remarkable this season – Sydney remains undefeated in 2025 and the Broncos have lost only one game. The two clubs display star players throughout their lineups and each is fully equipped of claiming victory when performing well.

These teams last met occurred in the third round – earlier this season – when Sydney achieved a narrow victory by a mere four-point margin. In that game, the Roosters started strongly, built a significant half-time lead, before Brisbane launched a second half comeback. Olivia Kernick scored a crucial late try to claim the result for the defending premiers in an exciting game. Should the two sides replicate that intensity from the earlier matchup, spectators are guaranteed a magnificent game today.

Given the anticipation ahead of us, we're starting!
